Melvvi develops handmade and sustainable lifestyle products.

Founded by Biswajita Mishra in September 2023, Melvvi’s goal is to reduce the use of plastic in the kitchen as well as other parts of the home by finding natural alternatives to plastic. The company’s products, like wooden cheese boards, cutting boards, fruit bowls, salad server sets, etc., are intended to promote a sustainable, greener lifestyle.

Biswajita previously led a 150+ member team for Amazon India’s global selling (exports) program. After joining the company in April 2017, she helped set up the account/category management practices for 12+ marketplaces and 10+ categories, and helped scale brands like California Design Den, Vahdam, Himalaya, Skillmatics, Playshifu and others.

During her tenure at Amazon India, Biswajita also launched an accelerator program called Amazon Global Selling Propel to help early-stage Indian startups build global brands. She has also spent seven years with consumer goods giant Procter & Gamble where she took on various roles across general as well as specialty trades. An alumnus of SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, Biswajita Mishra is also a gold medalist in electrical and electronics engineering.
